Ezugi Live Roulette December 21, 2024
Ezugi has been producing exclusively live dealer games since 2013 and, in addition to standard Live Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat, nowadays offers a few unique or at least rarely seen games and variants.
At the same time, the company’s Roulette assortment remains quite traditional although it does offer access to tables placed at several land-based casinos and thus allows you to benefit from a highly authentic gaming experience regardless of your location.
Generic Ezugi Live Roulette Tables
Ezugi seems to have a tier system similar to that used by Evolution Gaming but, owing to a much smaller number of tables, one might fail to recognize it. If you wish to wager larger amounts, look for games labelled Gold and Diamond.
Once you join the table, you’ll have an option to click on table limits tab to view min/max limits and payouts per bet type. Camera views change between the dealer sitting next to a Roulette wheel (self-standing one or attached to a table, depending on the studio) and close-up of the wheel itself.
One can use icons in the upper right corner to turn volume up or down, communicate with the croupier, ask for live support, view player history, read game rules and change language (5 supported).
There’s the usual choice of a traditional betting board and a racetrack which enables players to wager on Voisins du Zero, Jeu Zero, Tiers du Cylindre and Orphelins. Buttons visible during the betting period act as shortcuts so that you can use Rebet button to repeat bets placed in the last round, Double all wagers, Undo the last ones or Clear all chips off the table.
To help you make your choice, Ezugi includes statistics with outcomes of the last 100 spins. The developer’s Live Roulette assortment also includes several native tables provided for the benefit of players speaking Spanish (Cumbia Roulette), Turkish or Russian.
Speed Roulette
Ezugi’s Speed Roulette isn’t the fastest game out there but does speed up the action. Players are given less time to place bets (15 sec vs 25 sec in the standard game) and another difference is that the dealer spins the wheel before the betting time is up.
You’ll thus get play more rounds within the same period of time which may work in your favour or it may not; if lady luck happens to be busy elsewhere, your gaming budget could get depleted very fast.
Auto Roulette
Automatic Roulette is a good option if you don’t particularly care for a live dealer but dislike or find it hard to trust the Random Number Generator.
Ezugi’s execution looks a bit odd, though; you’ll either see what looks like an abandoned Roulette table or a self-standing automated wheel placed among tables occupied by live dealers and looking more like a forgotten piece of equipment than game in progress.
A pre-recorded voice tells players when the betting period starts/ends and announces the outcome of the spin. Thanks to incorporated in-game options, one is able to choose between Front View and Top View, adjust volume and open Menu with player history, settings, game rules and choice of languages. The standard variant offers 30 seconds for bet placement while Speed Auto Roulette cuts the betting time in half.
Tables Streamed From Brick & Mortar Casinos
If studio set-up and ambiance can’t fool you into believing you’re playing at a land-based casino, try Ezugi’s OTT alternatives. Games are streamed from various locations including Royal Casino (Latvia), Portomaso and Oracle Casino (Malta).
Cameras are installed above the table so that you can see casino visitors place their chips while you do the same using virtual chips and a computer-generated betting table. There’s no communication between online and land-based players nor an option to chat with the croupier.
Games streamed from land-based gambling establishments never have the same video/audio quality as those broadcasted from the developer’s studios but they are (currently) the only way player at a physical casino without actually entering one. The experience is highly authentic as you’re wagering along casino patrons and can hear sounds created by dealers and players, chips being placed and cleared off the tabled.
Live Roulette Game Types
Ezugi has opted to go only with the most common type – European Roulette using a 37-number wheel with a single zero.
How Does Ezugi Compare With Other Suppliers?
Ezugi does well in some areas and performs at average in others. The streaming quality is quite good, even surprisingly so on smartphones. Mobile play supports both landscape and portrait mode which is not always the case.
The developer’s Live Roulette range provides several good options for fans of the standard game but the only thing that stands out is the choice of OTT tables allowing you to play alongside those physically present at the same casino.
What we don’t like is that bets placed by online players don’t appear as chip images on the digital betting board so it can easily happen that you inadvertently wager far more than intended (like we almost did).
Dealers are generally ok though they don’t look as engaged as ladies and gentlemen employed by, for example, Evolution Gaming and NetEnt.
